Our Technical team inspects for gear pitting and recommends prevention of further damage.
It was a multi-purpose excursion to the Philippines where Tecsia Lubricants visited the sugar and steel mills.

Sugar Mill:
At the sugar mill in the Batangas province, our team followed up with the result of TACBECON BSC 1650 used on the sugar crusher’s journal bearings. It is a success! The client is pleased and will continue to use the lubricant for coming seasons.

The team also went on to inspect the open gears (last stage reducers). We found that their current asphalt-based lubricants provided inadequate protection that may possibly shorten the gears’ lifespan. With the analysis done, the next step is to recommend with a follow-up report.

Another sugar mill our team visited is located in the Tarlac province. There, we conducted seminars and technical discussions with the client and its engineers. The purpose was to educate on the relationship between machine applications and lubricants.

Steel Mill:
Tecsia Lubricants visited a client’s steel mills at 2 locations. Both mills had a site inspection from continuous casting to rolling sections. A technical discussion was held with the plant managers to understand the issues they face.

Our team will follow up with a report together with lubricant recommendations to lengthen relubrication intervals.
Credits go to our distributor, Fluid Solutions, for organising this fulfilling trip.
